Ever since its release in the early 2000’s Necromunda has been synonymous with edge of your seat, table-top wargames. With the new Necromunda: Hired Gun’s opening cinematic trailer, the series has taken a step forward with a cinematic feel.
It’s finally time for the release of Necromunda: the first of the Warhammer 40,000 spin-offs to hit the tabletop gaming world. The game, which was announced back in 2013, is set to hit shelves later this year, and will be available on both Android and iOS. This is a big step for the game, as it marks the first time it will be available on mobile devices. However, Necromunda is more than just a mobile game—it’s a fully-fledged, tabletop role-playing game (RPG), just like Dungeons & Dragons or Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.

Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Streum On Studio today revealed the introductory trailer for the upcoming first-person shooter Necromunda: The assassin. The trailer gives us a look at the sprawling world of Hive from the outside, and then takes us to various locations inside. Necromunda’s status as an industrial powerhouse is clearly reflected in its aesthetic, and to make it a less than ideal vacation spot, several gangs have taken up residence there. Necromunda: The opening trailer of Hired Gun ends with a close-up of a female bounty hunter with a double-barreled shotgun. The player takes the role of one of these bounty hunters and tries to carry out the orders for parts. Your custom body allows you to run up walls and jump long distances, and the game’s many customizable weapons make sure your enemies can’t fight the next day. You also have a trusty cybermastiff that you can call into battle to hunt down and kill enemies for you.
